Free Kidney Dialysis Center under the umbrella of Anjuman Falah-o-Behbood-e-Insaniat Mirpur Azad Kashmir (AFOBI) which is situated in boundary wall of Divisional Headquarter Teaching Hospital Mirpur AJK has experienced significant growth over the years, both in terms of patients served and its capacity to provide dialysis treatment. Established since 2003 under Registration No. DSW/274 (Act 1982), it has become an essential healthcare service in the community, providing over 160,000 dialysis treatments to date.
Starting with just three dialysis machines in 2003, the center has expanded to 29 machines, enabling it to treat more than 50 patients daily across three shifts. The fact that the center has separate wards for Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C, and general patients shows a commitment to providing specialized care in a safe environment for all patients.
In terms of general information, kidney dialysis is a life-saving treatment for patients with kidney failure.
